Vocabulary quiz next Tuesday!
Everyone needs a new outside reading book to be reading every night for 20 minutes. Please carry in your backpack so that you can be reading when you have time.
Mon.
Work on new vocabulary unit 1. Organize writing portfolios and prepare for Writer's Workshop this week.
Tues.
We'll explore cause and effect writing this week. Students will be working with partners while writing two cause and effect essays. One essay will be based on Bend It Like Beckham film and the other will be a choice of a cause and effect writing prompt. I encourage students to turn in final essays typed.
Students will finish a fishbone graphic organizer before beginning rough draft. Other organizers for cause and effect available here.
